I am honored to have been asked to join the editorial board of the journal Mathematical Biosciences. The journal has been one of the most important publication venues in mathematical biology and a number of its papers have inspired me over the years (including “Spatial heterogeneity and the design of immunization programs”, co-written by my D.Phil. advisor, Bob May, and Roy Anderson) and so I was very happy to accept this invitation.
